- If a friend/family member/coworker tells you they are “fine” but you don’t believe them, trust your instincts and let them know. It’s not always easy for people to speak up when they aren’t alright but you just may be the person they finally let their guard down with…
- Dont assume that just because someone has family/ a partner or friends that they are well supported.
- If someone crosses your mind and you have every intention of contacting them, do it that very moment. Sometimes we forget that we are powerful beings and have this thing called telepathy.
I will be adding to the list as time goes on but I think its important to remember that we are all in this together whether you suffer from depression or not. We live in a social media frenzied world nowadays and its become the norm for people to rely on snapchat, Facebook, twitter and instagram posts to know that our friends are alright just because they posted a cute pic of themselves or a funny meme. Lets get back to having genuine interactions with each other and letting each other know that we care regardless of if you think its awkward or weird.
